About The Oaksong Society

The Oaksong Society for Preservation of Way Cool Music has brought talented performers to greater Redding area audiences for over 10 years. Oaksongs co-founders Barry Hazle, Sr., his wife, Maline along with Bruce & Linda Wendt hosted the first concerts on the front porch of the Wendt family home on Raspberry Lane in Oak Run. Those modest beginnings brought about Gray Pine Farm; a venue boasting a covered 20' x 20' stage with professional lighting and sound system.
Oaksongs also presented an indoor concert series at Bernies Guitar, before it closed in 2012. We are now happy to say that THE MUSIC CONNECTION has reopened the store at 3086 Bechelli Lane, Redding. The Music Connection of Chico has supported Oaksongs, as well as many other area events and organizations, for many years and the new Redding store provides a wide range of instruments, accessories and services to Redding area musicians.
Oaksongs is a non-profit committed to building community through music. We provide a wide variety of live music concerts at affordable prices and endeavor to showcase local performers on stage whenever possible.
